RON 95...blah, blah, blah...Yeah, right!

Here is a piece of more serious stuff from me. I mean, most of the things I've blogged so far has been about my personal experience, a journal of sorts. Basically, this blog is actually to replace the papers on which I scribbled about my thoughts, knowing full well that, few weeks or months down the road, when I look at them, most of my own writings would look rather weird even to myself. Nonetheless, for me that's a journey to me, my growing up "phases".

Back to the "heavy" stuff. The fuel price. Malaysians will get to pump the cheaper RON 95. Now don't get too excited. Apparently the government will be increasing the price of RON 97, and price the new RON 95 between the current available range of octane sold in Malaysia, namely RON 92 and RON 97. What I cannot quite comprehend is that, why can't the government just throw it to the free market, and if they wanted to tax, well tell us what is the percentage of tax they want to charge? The only reason I could figure out was that, then we will know how much the government is actually earning from the fuel, thus would become accountable. I never like spins, and basically the more bullshit you give, the more it will backfires. That's how I felt at least.

So, right now, it's left to be seen whether they will actually go ahead with this plan, and wayang at the same time, never wanting us to know how much they are actually taking from us. Chances are they will think everyone is really that stupid to buy into their pathetic crap and spins, and continue with it. After all, they're still doing the same old things they've always been doing, seemingly ignorant of the fact that change means change, not bury their head in the sand like the ostrich, and wiggle their asses around, as though that's changing. Time will tell them their empty spins and promises will not get them the people's affection.
